WHAT:
Senior Move Management is professional assistance for you or your relative with the work required prior to a move into an assisted living community or smaller housing option (apartment, condo or with a relative).
Downsizing is the act of sorting and dispersing those items that will not be accompanying you to your new home.
Aging in Place Planning allows you to safely remain in your home as long as you are able, or while you move towards a transition.
WHEN:
You should begin considering downsizing if you are on a limited income and could live less expensively in a smaller home. Or, if:
- everyday yard work and household chores go unattended
- you are unable to continue to keep personal and financial records
- driving is no longer an option
- you only live in two or three rooms of your home
The key is to plan ahead and not to wait until a crisis comes. Move because you want to, when you want to!
WHY:

Are you ready to downsize but feel uncomfortable or are physically unable to do it alone? Speaking to a company like Transitioning Treasures is a great first step. "Adult children and family members should carefully consider how much time, energy and emotion they can devote to a senior’s downsizing project. Working with a professional can help minimize additional strain on family relationships and help to keep the peace…” Vickie Dellaquila, author |
